This plant produces tiny, tubular, purple/pink flowers from summer to early autumn. It forms a woody base which supports a mound of golden, crinkled leaves that have a mild scent.
The leaves can be added to salads, stews and summer drinks.
Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Best with afternoon shade in hot summers.
