HARDY PERENNIAL. Ht Up to 30cm.
This variety of mint is a low maintenance ground cover with a strong mint-like fragrance. It will produce whorls of reddish-purple to lilac flowers in summer. Grow it between paving stones, in rockeries or as a lawn. Once flowering has finished you can cut it back with a lawnmower. Add the strong peppermint-scented leaves to fruit salads, summer drinks, black pudding or hot potatoes. Plant in rich, moist soil in full sun/part shade.
