This highly aromatic, clump forming perennial produces beautiful deep-pink flowers in summer that are very attractive to bees and butterflies.
The petals of the flowers can be sprinkled over salads. The chopped leaves can be added sparingly to stuffing and to flavour jams, jellies and lemonade. Add the leaves to tea for an Earl Grey flavour.
Plant in rich, fertile soil in part shade. Can tolerate full sun.
