Also known as common mallow. This plant produces pale mauve flowers on tall stems throughout summer and autumn. It has a spreading habit. The flowers can be very attractive to bees and butterflies. The roots, stems, leaves, flowers and seeds are edible. Toss the flowers into a summer salad, in ice cubes or to decorate cakes.
Plant in any soil in full sun to part shade.
