Also known as honey sage. This aromatic plant produces pale blue-lavender flowers in spring/summer and is very attractive to bees and butterflies. After flowering, the stems harden and turn black. It is mainly used as a landscaping plant, but for culinary purposes, it can be used in the same way as ordinary garden sage.
Plant in well-drained sandy soil in full sun.
