This plant produces large crinkly leaves that are great when added to stir-fries.
The leaves are highly scented and are reminiscent of cumin in flavour. The flavour increases in strength as the plant grows larger.
This plant will also produce small pink edible flowers. The flowers and leaves can be eaten raw, added to salads, stuffed like vine leaves, coated in batter and fried.
Goes well with fish. Plant in rich, fertile soil that is kept moist in full sun to dappled shade.
